Growing Conditions

Vineyards: Conner Lee, La Reyna Blanca

Gård Vintners is 100% estate grown sustainably at Lawrence Vineyards in the Royal Slope AVA. Lawrence Vineyards features seven distinct vineyard sites with elevations ranging 930 feet to 1,675 feet. The combination of elevation and south-facing slope provides a great framework for grape production, while the diversity of the seven locations delivers a high level of complexity to Gård wines. Lawrence Vineyards is certified sustainable by Vinewise.org.

Nose

A blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, the wine begins with caramelized pear, citrus rind, papaya, boysenberry, and a touch of grass and oak spice. Swirling brings baked apple, honeycomb, and white flowers.

Palate

The mouthfeel is generous, but extremely energetic. A beautiful combination of citrus, green apple purée, and baking spices dominate the mid palate. Vibrant but full bodied, the wine also displays a fantastic texture and an almost leesy aftertaste due to the extended barrel aging and lees stirring. Layered with an oldworld classic style, this gorgeous white blend finishes remarkably concentrated, but with enough length to back it up. A white wine to age, you can drink this BDX white now or in the next 15 years. Decanting recommended.

Aging

Whole cluster pressed, and barrel fermented. Aged in new and neutral French oak 300L barrels for 18 months.
