Nose

Black currant, blackberry confiture, pencil shavings, dark chocolate, oak spice, and leather.

Palate

The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a sweet, dense core but fantastic finesse. Layered and polished, with fine tannins and lifted acidity, the depth and concentration here are outstanding. Ripe dark fruits, sweet herbal tones, and mineral components dominate the mid-palate. Decadently delicious, the wine finishes polished and lifted, with the perfect amount of sweetness. Drink now or in the next 20 years.

Aging

Barrel fermented. Extended maceration. Aged in new French oak barrels for 22 months.
