Vineyards: Corfu Crossing
Gård Vintners is 100% estate grown sustainably at Lawrence Vineyards in the Royal Slope AVA. Lawrence Vineyards features seven distinct vineyard sites with elevations ranging 930 feet to 1,675 feet. The combination of elevation and south-facing slope provides a great framework for grape production, while the diversity of the seven locations delivers a high level of complexity to Gård wines. Lawrence Vineyards is certified sustainable by Vinewise.org.
Nose
Orange rind, raspberry confiture, ripe plums, and sage. Swirling brings red licorice, citrus peel, strawberry syrup, and tobacco leaf.
Palate
Generous but juicy, the mid palate is fleshy and saturated with ripe red fruits, spice, and light steamy notes. Showcasing a lot of purity and an outstanding fruit presentation, the wine is also extremely layered with spicy and earthy undertones. Ripe but energetic, with soft tannins and lingering acidity, this phenomenal Grenache finishes long and mouthwatering with a kiss of oak and a distinctive citrus and saline finish.
Aging
Stainless steel fermented. Aged in new and neutral French oak 500L puncheons for 18 months.
